Colombia-Ecuador Betting-Match Preview Wordl Cup

Our expert believes an in-form home side should have little trouble against the visitors, who have struggled recently on the road
South American neighbours Colombia and Ecuador are within touching distance of next year's World Cup and three points would all but book a place at Brazil 2014.

Colombia's campaign has been hugely impressive with the side particularly strong at home. Playing their matches in the stifling Caribbean humidity of the city of Barranquilla has been to the Cafeteros' advantage with Colombia winning each of their last five home qualifiers, scoring 13 goals in the process without conceding.
Little wonder then that the Colombians are clear favourites, priced at 8/15 (1.53) with William Hill. Ecuador, meanwhile, have not won a World Cup qualifier on foreign soil for four years and are offered at 6/1 (7.00)

Everything, therefore, points to a home win despite Colombia having talismanic striker Radamel Falcao struggling with an ankle injury.

Back up exists in the form of Jackson Martinez and Teo Gutierrez who both have goals in them and the price of 10/11 (1.91) for Colombia to win the first half looks tempting.

This bet has paid out in three out of Colombia's last four home qualifiers and given their fantastic home record, coupled with Ecuador's awful away form in the competition, it has every chance of doing so again.
